Misión
This role is critical in ensuring robust tax compliance and tax management in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Tax Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing local tax compliance processes, including periodic tax filings, tax-related components of the financial close, and statutory reporting requirements specific to each country.
In addition, the role will play a key part in analyzing and resolving tax queries related to commercial operations, new projects, and cross-border transactions affecting these jurisdictions. The Tax Supervisor will also lead interactions with external advisors and tax authorities during audits, reviews, or information requests, ensuring timely responses that minimise risks for the companies in those jurisdictions.
Funciones
- Oversee and coordinate all tax compliance processes for Ireland and the UK, including corporate tax, VAT, payroll taxes and statutory reporting
- Supervise local external tax advisors in Ireland and the UK to ensure monthly, annual tax returns and reports are filed in a timely manner and review the work of external advisors to ensure the information is accurate and complete.
- Evaluate tax implications related to fleet transactions, aviation operating structures, and aircraft financing arrangements (including leases, purchases, sales, and cross-border financing structures)
- Review tax related matters in the local financial statements to ensure they are in accordance IFRS and local accounting rules, including leading discussions with external auditors.
- Maintain and enhance documentation, internal controls, and standard operating procedures related to tax processes
- Monitor developments in tax legislation, administrative guidance, and case law across both jurisdiction
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Law or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant tax experience in Ireland, including 2 years in a leadership role. Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm or a reputable accounting firm specializing in tax matters, such as BDO and GT.
- Intermediate Level Spanish (Desirable)
- Tax experience in the UK (Desirable)
